In 2000 I left the corporate world to join the world of movement and have not looked back sense.
In 2001 I worked with Marie-José Blom at Long Beach Dance Conditioning to complete my Pilates certification, focusing on Kinesiology, Bio-mechanics, and Physical Therapy protocols, along with the classical Pilates exercises.
I remember the first time I walked out of my Pilates session and walked home I felt taller, was much more aware of my posture and felt that deep connection with my core abdominal region. It was incredible. I believe Pilates can be a great addition into a workout for so many individuals at any age!
My style is very intuitive meaning I adjust and shift the session as I hear how you are feeling and what I see come up in your body during our time together. I combine Pilates with my additional training in yoga, working with doctors on back pain managment, healing injuries, amazing stretches to help heal the body and so much more. I incorporate the foam roller, Yamuna footsavers, exercises that combine the use of the Cadillac and Reformer together and a lot of fun so the workout flies by.
